Extended Hours

East Northants Enhanced Access Hub

These services run at different times throughout the day, therefore vary between 08.00-20.00, Monday to Friday and between 09.00-17.00 on Saturdays. 

When We Are Closed (this excludes the Enhanced Access Hub)

We are closed Monday to Friday 18:30 until 08:00 plus weekends and bank holidays

If you need urgent medical advice or attention which cannot wait until the surgery re-opens, telephone NHS on 111.

If you have a life threatening emergency, please dial 999 - Chest pains and/or shortness of breath constitute an emergency.

Staff Training

The Practice is occasionally closed from 12.30 one Wednesday each month. This allows clinical and non clinical staff to attend essential training. 

Practice Training Days are as follows:

  • Wednesday 13th November 2024
  • Wednesday 04th December 2024 
  • Wednesday 15th January 2025
  • Wednesday 12th February 2025
  • Wednesday 12th March 2025

If during this time you need medical attention please call NHS 111, for emergency situations please contact 999. Corby Urgent care will also be available. 

NHS 111 Online

111 online is a fast and convenient alternative to the 111 phone service and provides an option for people who want to access 111 digitally. 

Your needs will be assessed and you will be given advice about whether you need:

  • Treat yourself at home
  • Go to a Primary Care Centre

If you need face to face medical attention you may be asked to attend a Primary Care Centre.

NHS Walk-in Centres

See a doctor or nurse seven days a week 08:00 – 20:00 at Corby Urgent Care Centre, Cottingham Road, Corby, NN17 2UR. You can walk in and wait to be seen. 

Here is a list of ailments what Corby Urgent Care are able to respond to: 

  • Sore throat
  • Ear ache
  • Rashes
  • Urinary tract infections
  • Injuries that may require X-Ray
  • Wounds for suturing
  • Strains and sprains 

Unfortunately, they cannot help with:

  • Long standing medical conditions that are managed by a patients’ GP.
  • Sick Notes/Fit For Work Notes.
  • Dental Problems – we can only provide pain relief not antibiotics.
  • Repeat Prescriptions – Emergency short supply only.
  • Ultra sounds
  • Specialist maternity care (ultrasounds)
  • Referrals for ongoing or long term conditions

 Patients are able to walk in or book an appointment over the telephone or internet.
